First Impressions

Here is a list of things to do on the exterior of your home prior to and throughout the entire listing process. These simple things can make a huge difference in the overall sale price and the amount of time your property sits on the market. The front exterior is the FIRST impression buyers have of your home and is monumentally important. Good curb appeal is key!
– Wash the interior and exterior of all windows
– Make sure the exterior lights all work, replace light bulbs as necessary so your home is well lit at night
– The doorbell should function properly
– The house number should be visible
– Paint or stain the front door and mailbox if necessary
– No obstructions- remove any and all garbage, update or remove old furniture, walk way should be clear & safe
– Keep decor simple with flower planters by the front door
– Major cracks on the driveway should be repaired
– Cut the lawn, must be kept neat and tidy along with the gardens
– Re-sod/ reseed grass as required
– Pull weeds when necessary and trim all bushes
– Remove any dead tree branches
– In the winter the driveway and walkway must be cleared, ice must be salted immediately
